Jennifer Collins Issues Debate Challenge to Opponent Lynn Fitch

Lynn Fitch won her bid for the Republican nomination for attorney general in Tuesday’s runoff, and now her new opponent Democrat Jennifer Collins is issuing a new challenge.

On Wednesday, the Collins Campaign issued a press release in which the Democratic nominee for state attorney general, retired colonel Jennifer Collins, calls for debates against her opponent, Lynn Fitch, who edged out Andy Taggart in Tuesday’s runoff for the republican nomination in the race.

Collins says she believes the people of Mississippi should hear from candidates in a debate format before the November general election, and is proposing that she and Fitch participate in four debates, one in each of the congressional districts, before October 13th.

Collins and Fitch will square off in the November 5th general election.

The winner will replace long term Attorney General Jim Hood, the Democratic candidate in the governor’s race, who has just recently issued a similar challenge to his opponent, Tate Reeves.

We’ll keep you posted.
