Jeepin the Coast 2019

Did you see a lot of Jeeps on the road this weekend? That wasn’t a coincidence.

Hundreds of Jeeps lined Highway 90 over the weekend for the annual Jeepin the Coast. Live entertainment, vendors, and even a Jeep parade were just some of the events held across the Coast.

Something new this year was a ‘beach crawl’ which allowed for drivers to drive on the beach alongside Highway 90.

Event organizer Jennifer Moran tells News 25 that the high demand from local Jeep owners to have their own weekend was what sparked the creation of Jeepin the Coast. “It started, we started back years ago. We would do the ride together in October with Cruisin’ the Coast and we just got so big that we said ‘you know what, let’s do our own event, let’s do a four day event here on the Coast and call it Jeepin the Coast.’ You got Cruisin’ the Coast, Scrapin’ the Coast, and now you got Jeepin the Coast.”

Many of the participants from Jeepin the Coast will be back soon for the Scrapin’ the Coast event which takes place in three weeks.
