Java Jo’z in Ocean Springs reopens after complete rebuild

Ocean Springs drive-thru coffee shop Java Jo’z reopened today after being closed for two months.

Owner Mickey Creech noticed in June his building started giving him problems during work. Creech then decided it was time to tear down his original shop of 17 years and rebuild it from the ground up.

Since his decision, the business has been closed due to construction.  Local residents and customers would often visit the site to see the owners and the updated building.

Creech says he is excited about his new store and believes it has more of an Ocean Springs feel to it. “This is what I love to do. We’ve done it for a long time. I have missed the customers in the two months that we’ve been rebuilding it. We have got to see a lot of them during the building process. Most of them have come by on a daily and weekly basis just to check on us and the customers of Ocean Springs is what stemmed us to be able to stay for so long.”

The shop is open from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday and closed on Sunday at its original location.
