Jackson County Sheriff’s Department investigating armed robbery of Waffle House

Jackson County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a suspect in an armed robbery of the Waffle House on Tucker Road.

Sheriff Mike Ezell said the robbery occurred about 4:30 a.m. Friday. Workers and witnesses at the restaurant said a man walked into the restaurant with a handgun and demanded money from the register.

No one was hurt in the incident.

The suspect is described as a tall, stocky black man with light-colored skin, wearing a black hoodie, gray sweatpants and a mask over his lower face.

He left the Waffle House and drove off in a white 4-door Ford Fusion with a sunroof. The tag is unknown.
