Jackson County Results

Moving to Jackson County where interim Sheriff Mike Ezell will keep his job as the county’s top law enforcement officer.
Ezell rounded up nearly 81 percent of the Republican vote with 6,415 votes compared to his opponent Pascagoula Officer Bob Cochran’s 1,507 votes. Since there is no Democratic candidate, these are the final election results and Mike Ezell will remain sheriff of Jackson County.
Onto the race for Jackson County’s superintendent of education race, incumbent Barry Amacker barely misses a runoff with 3,608 votes or 51.82 percent of the vote compared to his opponent Monty Noblitt’s 3,345 votes or 48 percent of the votes, meaning Barry Amacker will keep his seat as Jackson County’s superintendent of education, since there is no democratic opponent in this race.
Again, these are the final results for these two races in Jackson County with all 31 of 31 precincts reporting.
