Jackson County man pleads guilty to felony child abuse
A Jackson County man accused of nearly beating his three-year-old son to death in 2016 will serve 40 years in prison.
Twenty-six year-old Nathan McCrory pled guilty to two counts of felony child abuse and one drug count in a plea deal with the state.
In court today, he admitted to abusing his three-year-old son Zander, who is now five-years-old. McCrory was sentenced to 40 years with 25 to serve and then 15 on post-release supervision on counts of felony child abuse plus ten years on an additional count. He was also sentenced five years for the manufactured drug charge for a total of 40 years behind bars.
