Jackson County man arrested for growing marijuana inside home

An Ocean Springs man has been arrested after growing marijuana inside his home.

Twenty-six year-old Joseph Hines is charged with cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana while in the possession of a firearm, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance after agents with the South Mississippi Metro Enforcement Team served a warrant at Hines’ home.

According to the sheriff’s department, Hines used the internet to buy all the materials needed to grow the drug.
