Jackson County Fire Marshal investigating fatal fire

The Jackson County fire marshal is investigating an early morning fire that killed a Latimer man.

Sheriff Mike Ezell says when deputies and firefighters got to a mobile home on Dantzler Road just before 2:30 Thursday morning, it was completely covered in flames.

A man’s remains were found inside the trailer.

Deputy Coroner Tyler Armstrong say it is believed the victim is the trailer owner, but there is no positive I.D. yet.
