Jackson County Board of Education meets to discuss school year

The Jackson County Board of Education met Monday to discuss students returning back to campus for the 2020-2021 school year.

Jackson County Schools Superintendent Dr. Strycker reviewed the schools reopening plans and the COVID-19 positive case report.

In the first week of students returning back to campus, there have been 20 positive cases in students and 13 positive cases in faculty and staff.

Dr. Strycker commented saying that the district is taking each case seriously and is implementing necessary safety measures to mitigate the spread of the virus.
