Jackson Co. Youth Football Assoc. Superbowl Championship Set for Nov. 16th

Pascagoula has drawn for the first ever Jackson County Superbowl to be held at War Memorial Stadium on Sunday, November 16th starting at 1 p.m.

The Jackson County Youth Football Association is a partnership of all four Cities in Jackson County dedicated enhancing the opportunities for families to broaden their love of football. Each City has their own league whose teams have played each other throughout the season and participated in the playoffs to determine who gets the opportunity to play in the Superbowl. The age divisions that will play for the Superbowl Championships are Flag (5-6 yrs), Rookie (7-8 yrs), Minors (9-10 yrs) and Majors (11-12 yrs).

The schedule of events is:

1 p.m. – Opening Ceremonies
2 p.m. – Rookie Superbowl – Gautier Broncos vs. Ocean Springs Saints
3:30 p.m. – Flag Superbowl – Pascagoula Saints vs. Gautier Gators
5 p.m. – Minors Superbowl – Ocean Springs Hounds Royal vs. Pascagoula Saints
6:30 p.m. – Majors Superbowl – Gautier Gators vs. Ocean Springs Hounds Black

"The first season of this partnership endeavor has been a great success," said Pascagoula Athletic Director and Harbor Master, Bo Cole. "Working together we, as separate City Governments, provided better and more exciting programs for all our children. We are looking forward to a great turnout on Sunday."
