Italian Open took place at the Pass Christian Isles Golf Course Saturday

There was no shortage of fun at the Italian Open held this weekend. The 46th annual open was held at the Pass Christian Isles Golf Course Saturday.

More than 150 golfers came out to participate in the fun filled day, full of drinks, food, golf, and meatball tee-off.

The event usually happens earlier in the year, but due to COVID, it was pushed back. However, that did not put a damper on the celebrations. Verna Jackson with the Italian Open Committee said, “We’ve had 80 teams here today so we had a really great turnout and it’s a beautiful day. The weather is awesome. Everybody just has a great time. It’s eat, drink, and be merry.”

A silent auction and an Italian dinner were also part of the festivities.
