IP donates to local food banks

In the spirit of giving, the IP Hotel and Casino donated $40,000 in food and goods to three local food banks on the Coast.

Since Thanksgiving, the IP Hotel and Casino planned to give back to the homeless community and anyone in need.

Their aim was to meet the needs of local food banks to ensure anyone who needs a meal gets one.

Food was recently distributed to Seashore Mission, Feed my Sheep, and Loaves and Fishes.  Each organization received $13,000 in goods.

Funded by corporate and employee donations, the IP says they’re happy to help feed the Gulf Coast. IP Hotel and Casino Director of Marketing Kim Goetz said, “We have three local ones that are pretty close to us that we’ve worked with over the years on different projects, but always look to expand the reach and distribution as long as the entities can obviously store and distribute it around the community. People are struggling, there’s a lot more unemployment, there’s a lot more homelessness, there’s a lot more people in need right now that anything that we can do as a corporation as individuals to go out there and help support our community is well thought of and much appreciated.”

The IP Hotel and Casino gives to the community throughout the year and upon necessary request.
