Ingalls partners with Habitat for Humanity

Executives from Ingalls Shipbuilding took some time out of their weekend to give back to the community.
The company partnered with Habitat for Humanity to build a home in Ocean Springs.
Vice president of human resources and administration, Edmund Hughes was on hand to help with the build. Ingalls has committed to building multiple homes a year through habitat for humanity, using it as their opportunity to give back to their community.
Hughes says, “Home ownership is one of the cornerstones of the united states, and it’s just our opportunity to give back to the community where we live and work and by assisting other individuals to have that opportunity.”
The home is expected to be completed in the coming weeks.
