Increased business for local brewery

It’s been a little over a month since House Bill 1322 went into effect which allows craft breweries in Mississippi to sell beer directly to consumers.
Chandeleur Brewing Company in Gulfport is just one of the businesses that has benefited from the new law. Those with the local brewery say they have seen a dramatic increase in business which has created new jobs.
Breweries had hoped the new law would increase exposure of their businesses along with adding cash flow and they say that’s exactly what has happened. Chandeleur Brewing Company Brew Master David Reese said, “It completely changed our focus and our business plan. We are able to really focus on interacting with the consumer and dealing with them one-on-one. You know, they can come and taste our beers and we do it before so you can come here and buy a pint and it’s really changed the dynamic of our business.”
With the increase in business since the new law, Chandeleur Brewing Company has been able to extend their hours of business from two days a week to seven days a week.
