Inaugural Warrior Classic Competition

For the first time, D’Iberville High School hosted the inaugural Warrior Classic indoor competition on Saturday.
At least 25 groups from schools across Mississippi and Louisiana competed in percussion, winds and color guard.
This event helps these students get used to performing in front of a crowd instead of practicing in a normal band room which will prepare them for the championship competition. Band Director James Brown said, “This is another show in the Louisiana Mississippi Color Guard and Percussion Circuit. We have five or six of them throughout the year, different groups go to different competitions and we get scores from judges and we just try to make improvements leading up to our championship performance.”
The competition prepares these groups for the LMCGPC Championship in Louisiana on April 1st and 2nd.
