Impact of Tropical Storm Gordon in Pascagoula

It seems Jackson County saw the most impact from Gordon in South Mississippi last night.

Pascagoula Police Captain Doug Adams tells News 25 there have been reports of a few downed trees and limbs in yards as well as road ways.

Some stop lights throughout the city also went out and early this morning, Mississippi Power crews were on hand to fix those.

According to Captain Adams there were around 300 Pascagoula residents who lost power for a few hours during the storm. “It went a little bit more to the east so we fared pretty good. It could have been a lot worse with just a little jog to the west. Not a lot of damage as far as structures as far as we can tell. We are out this morning, trying to assess, but things went extremely well for us here in the city with this storm.”
