Hubble Telescope captures spiral galaxy
According to astronomers, spirals are definitely in this season.
The Hubble Space Telescope captured this amazing photo of a spiral galaxy about 60-million light-years away from earth!
The photo is so stunningly clear that astronomers with the telescope made it their picture of the week.
They say it took nine hours of observation to get this high resolution.
This galaxy is an active one. Scientists say it’s been the site of a supernova. That’s when a star becomes extremely bright then explodes, lighting up part of the galaxy with its energy.
