HSSM Gives Away Monster Jam Tickets for Cat Litter

If you had extra kitty litter around the house you could have used it for a free Monster Jam ticket Thursday.

The Humane Society of South Mississippi (H.S.S.M.) teamed up with Monster Jam to host a Meownster Jam cat litter drive. The first 150 people in line with their 10 pound bag of kitty litter received a free Monster Jam ticket. The drive was from 3 to 5 p.m., but tickets were gone within the first 30 minutes. Grave Digger also brought his monster truck for fans to see while he signed autographs and posed for pictures.

Krystyna Schmitt, Marketing Specialist for H.S.S.M., says, “Soon we’re going to be facing what I call kitten season, and that means we’ll have an influx of kittens and cats in the shelter, and cat litter is so expensive for the shelter to buy, so every donated bag, box, or container is something we don’t have to pull out of the operational budget and we can provide more and better care for the animals.”

Monster Jam is set for Friday night at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi.
