House fire in Long Beach

A Long Beach family escaped a house fire this afternoon, but their home is heavily damaged.

The fire broke out just before 2 p.m. this afternoon on Ray Road in Long Beach.

Firefighters were on the scene soon after and managed to put out the fire, but there is major smoke and fire damage to the home.

No one was injured, including the family pet who also managed to escape.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
