House fire on Bay Cove in Harrison County

A home was damaged in a fire today in Harrison County.

According to Fire Marshal Pat Sullivan, around 5:30 pm Friday evening, Harrison County Fire Rescue, along with Gulfport Fire Dept. and CRTC were called to a single story home that was on fire.

Three people were home when the fire was discovered and they were able to escape unharmed.

Eight units and 19 firefighters responded along with AMR and the Harrison County Sheriffs Dept.

The home was heavily damaged by the fire and the cause has not been determined at this time.
