Home Schooled Students Visit WXXV Studio for Special Tour
About 40 young people, ages 6 to 18, took a look, and in some cases, a front row seat, at our news desk for an up close and personal look at how the news is done at WXXV. A few of the students stood in front of the green screen where forecaster, Nick Patrick, typically does his weather forecasts. The kids were in awe of their image on screen and the various backgrounds that popped up. At least one of Thursday’s visitors has his sights on a broadcasting career.
Garrett Stone, who toured WXXV, says, "I think the tour is very educational. This is a place I would love to work. This is like my dream job right here.”
You never know, one day down the road you just might see Garrett or one of these other young people on News 25!
