Hispano de Pascagoula Festival

Pascagoula presents the inaugural festival “Hispano de Pascagoula” tomorrow at River Park.
There will be tons of Hispanic themed food, including a tamale cook-off. Children will be able to make their own maracas and enjoy bounce houses and face painting. Latin bands and dancers will perform throughout the day.
The event kicks off at 11 a.m. and will run until 4 p.m. Anne Pitre, with the city of Pascagoula public relations, said, “We’ve had a Hispanic heritage themed festival before last year. It was combined with something else and held in a different location. It was kind of our test run and we wanted to gauge what type of interest people would have. Moving forward, we decided it was strong enough to stand on its own. So, we’re moving it to the newly renovated River Park for people to enjoy.”
‘Hispano de Pascagoula’ is completely free to enter and open to the public.
