Help Strike out Hunger: Hunger Action Month

Whataburger held another fundraiser this evening for those who couldn’t make it out to the Kroc Center for breakfast.
Twenty percent of proceeds from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. were donated back to the Salvation Army. You can donate food items at the Salvation Army Gulfport location off of 22nd Street or at any Whataburger location along the Gulf Coast.
Those who donate items at Whataburger receive a coupon for a free Whataburger sandwich. Whataburger Regional Marketing Manager Julie Piel said, “Whataburger is kind of family tradition that we like to support our communities. They support us. We like to give back. That’s just one of the reasons that we teamed up with the Salvation Army. It made sense for Hunger Action Awareness Month.”
Whataburger will host two additional fundraisers later on in the month, one at the Ocean Springs location and one at the D’Iberville location.
