Hearing Postponed for Dexter Kelley
The Vancleave teenager accused of beating his younger cousin to death was scheduled to appear in court this morning, but a judge has pushed back his preliminary hearing to June 13th.
Nineteen-year-old Dexter Kelley is accused of murdering his 16-year-old cousin, Cliff Allyn, back in April. Allyn was reported missing after being last seen with his cousin. His body was found in the woods behind his grandmother’s home the next day.
Kelley is being held without bond after County Court Judge T. Larry Wilson previously stated there is evidence to suggest he is a danger to the community. If convicted, Kelley faces life in prison.
