Health and Fitness Week at USM Gulf Park

College life can be stressful for students working toward their degree, but USM’s Gulf Park campus is putting health and wellness first.
This week, the fitness center on campus is organizing a weeklong schedule designed to renew the mind, body, and spirit. Today, students were taking five minutes in between class for a free massage at the Fleming Education Center rotunda.
SGA President Kaytlin Dorris tells News 25 she sets aside a little time every day to take a breather. “If you go to anything about having balance in your life, they will always tell you to make sure to take time to take a break because if you don’t you can’t do anything, you just get so overwhelmed with your life and everything that’s going on. I do it every day so I think it’s extremely important.”
Health and Fitness Week ends Friday with beach kayaking from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Beach Boulevard and Beach Park Place.
