Hattiesburg Pocket Museum warning of ‘Ink in the Alley’ scam
HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WXXV)-A heads up from the Hattiesburg Pocket Museum, ahead of Ink in the Alley this weekend, the museum is warning that someone is messaging people who have interacted with their event posts.
The account is asking for personal information and money, including a $900 request for a tattoo.
The pocket museum says they will never message asking for payment, deposits, consent forms, or information.
Tattoo arrangements are made directly with participating artists.
If you have received a message, you are asked to report the account immediately.
The pocket museum thanks everyone who spotted the scam and reported it.
