Harrison County Sherriff’s Department Launches New App

The sheriff’s department has a new way for residents to stay informed about what’s going on in Harrison County.
The Harrison County Sheriff’s Department has launched a new app that will send out alerts to keep residents up-to-date on traffic, wrecks, weather, and emergency situations.
The app is free to download and features a variety of services residents can have access to right at their fingertips such as Harrison County forms, contact information, tip forms, events, safety programs for senior citizens, and more.
Harrison County Sheriff Troy Peterson said, “They can put a message out. If a drug dealer is living beside them and they don’t want to call anyone they can enter it on the site and we can get the information. It’s a tool that they can use and we can use also. It gives back and forth.”
To download the app text HCSHERIFF to 95577 or go to the App Store and search Harrison County Sheriff. If you would like to receive alerts you need to make sure you press ‘allow push notifications’ when you download the app.
