Harrison County School District Superintendent Roy Gill retiring
After 35 years in education and five years as Harrison County School District Superintendent Roy Gill announces his retirement.
Roy Gill says he can’t believe how fast the time has gone. He carries with him many memories of students and staff who have helped him in his career.
Gill tells News 25 he’s checked off all the goals on his personal checklist and now it’s time for him to enjoy his wife and family.
He looks forward to traveling and is confident the Harrison County School District will be left in good hands. “We became an ‘A’ district for the first time in history, ranked in the top 25 in the state of Mississippi. I’m very proud of all the hard work and the dedication of all the administrators, the staff, the students for being a part of that journey.”
Roy Gill’s official last day is set for this summer June 30th, 2021.
