Harrison County preparing beach for Labor Day Weekend

If you plan on soaking up some sun and enjoying the beach over the Labor Day Weekend, Harrison County Sand Beach Director Chuck Loftis wants to remind everyone to be mindful of social distancing while you relax.

Loftis tells News 25 he’s interested to see the turn out this year, since as of late, crowds have decreased due to the pandemic.

As always, if you do decide to enjoy your day off at the beach, remember to do your part and pick up any trash you may have. “Please use the receptacles we have. The trash cans were put back out after the storm. We picked them up. But we have put them back out. So, please put your trash in one of the receptacles and please do not bring any type of glass containers to the beach.”

Employees with Harrison County Sand Beach will be working over the Labor Day Weekend to take care of any issues that may come up.
