Harrison County officials and local leaders meet
The Harrison County Emergency Management Agency met today ahead of the hurricane.
The Harrison County Fire Department is requesting additional personal from FEMA and will be pulling response when winds reach 45 miles per hour.
Electric companies advise to download their app for the most accurate power outage map.
Coast Electric will pull service workers as the weather intensifies. They will resume at day break.
Also, United Way and Salvation Army are ready to respond. Harrison County EMA Director Rupert Lacy said, “We are going to see tornadic activity with this storm, fast moving or not. We already had one tornado warning this morning in Harrison County. That’s going to be something we haven’t seen a lot of but we’ll see that. We’ll see the storm surge. Those values are getting higher. The winds are pushing the water in so if you’re in that low-lying area, have your plan ready to get out go to a safe location.”
