Harrison County makes sandbags available ahead of Hurricane Delta

(WXXV) — With Delta forecast to make landfall as a strong hurricane, forecasters say coastal flooding can be expected across the Gulf Coast.

Authorities throughout South Mississippi are preparing now by setting up several self-serve sandbag sites.

Self-serve sandbags are available at the following locations. The sites are active and ready to serve. The sites will have sand and bags. Those wishing to use the service must provide shovels and fill their own bags.

Sandbags will not be available at the Courthouse Road Pier and Long Beach Harbor.
