Harrison County Fire Rescue and Mississippi Power respond to tree that fell across power lines

Harrison County Fire Rescue and Mississippi Power Company responded to a tree that fell across power lines, snapping one pole, and causing another to lean into the trees.

A local radio station was knocked off the air due to power being cut to a transmission tower, and businesses and homes in the area lost power until Mississippi Power Company could replace the poles and put the lines back up.

The incident happened Monday afternoon around 1:00 p.m. on Hwy 49 in the Saucier community.
