Harrison County Fairgrounds has new Flag

The county has spoken and there’s a new symbol for the Harrison County Fairgrounds.
Today, the fairgrounds unveiled the new flag that will grace their grounds. Through an online poll using email, social media and their website, thousands of Harrison County residents narrowed 12 flags down to eventually choose the winning flag.
The flag dons a horse and a ferris wheel, two things fairground officials tell News 25 highlight events the fairgrounds are known for. Greg Whitfield with the Harrison County Fairgrounds said, “It’s a symbol that represents all that the fairgrounds have to offer. With the fair that we, the county fair that we have coming up in September, as well as our horse shows that we’re well-known for and our great equestrian center that people come from around the United States to be a part of.”
The first Harrison County Fair in a decade will start September 7th.
