Harrison County Fair Looking for Volunteers

With less than two months remaining before the first Harrison County Fair in decades, fair officials are circling the wagons.
The Harrison County Fair will last from September 7th until September 11th at the Harrison County Fairgrounds.
With a list of activities like livestock and horse shows, a carnival, tractor pulls and a pageant, officials with the fair will need all hands on deck.
They are asking anyone interested in lending a helping hand or opening their wallets to help the fair to attend a public meeting Wednesday night from 6 to 8 at Café Climb. Harrison County Fair Association Secretary Andrea Francway said, “We need those extra hands and feet that will be there for five days, some of us, and it’s a long, hot time. We really want people that want to be there to come out and enjoy. It’s going to be fun. Even the work is going to be fun. These meetings are geared toward volunteers, but also toward sponsors.”
