Harrison County District 2 Supervisor Race Heats Up

Tomorrow’s runoff will decide one of the two hotly contested seats for Harrison County supervisor.
Gulfport City Councilman Ricky Dombrowski and local businesswoman Angel Kibler-Middleton will be squaring off for the District 2 seat. The seat is currently held by long time Board Member Joe Meadows. Meadows was appointed to the position earlier this year on the basis he would not run for re-election.
After the August primary elections, Middleton received 37 percent of the vote and Dombrowski received 34. Since then, both candidates have been hitting the streets to get voters out.
“Definitely voter turnout,” said Dombrowski, “Voter turnout was bad in the primary, but the runoff is even worse. So, we just have to get our folks out and get them to vote.”
“Hard work and door to door. I think you have to get to their face and talk to them and let them know who you are and what you stand for,” said Middleton.
Polls open at 7 tomorrow morning for Harrison County voters.
