Harrison County Deputy Discovered a Man in a Trapped Car

A driver is recovering from serious injuries after crashing his car today and landing in a ditch. The outcome might have been worse, if not for a Harrison County deputy who found the man, while he was out patrolling.
The deputy was on routine patrol when he heard a man yelling off of Highway 605 and found him stuck in an overturned car. The car had left the road and crashed, but was not visible from the road, so no one had seen or heard him, until the deputy was patrolling. First responders cut the man out of his car and transported him to an area hospital for serious injuries.
Harrison County fire marshal Pat Sullivan says it is not yet clear how long the man was stuck in the car.
