Harrison Central girls basketball sends two to the next level

The Harrison Central girls basketball program is sending two seniors to the next level.

This afternoon, Jaslyn Davis signed her letter of intent with Meridian Community College and Dekeria Walls put pen to paper with Mississippi College.

Both players bring a winning mindset to their respective schools, having been a part of four consecutive Final Four appearances including a trip to the 6A state championship game in 2022.

“It means so much to be playing on the next level,” said Harrison Central center Jaslyn Davis. “I waited so long for this, and I’m glad to experience it.”

“It makes me feel like I did my part,” said Harrison Central forward Dekeria Walls. “I know I have the talent and it’s been proven that I can go to the next level and show my talent, and actually develop more talent.”

Both players say their new schools feel like home and they’ll get to campus in August.
