Harbor Lights Winter Festival returns

This time next week you can be spending time with your family at the Harbor Lights Winter Festival in Gulfport.

Crews are almost finished putting the final touches on Jones Park for the annual lights festival.

Officials say this year will be even bigger and better than ever with over 1.2 million lights for guests to admire.

This year, there will also be special nights at the festival featuring penguins from the Mississippi Aquarium. LaShaundra McCarty with the City of Gulfport said, “You should come out and create great memories with your family and to take advantage of an attraction that you don’t always have access to. So, it is just here for the Christmas season. Enjoy it while it lasts.”

The festival kicks off the day after Thanksgiving at 5:30 p.m. You can buy your tickets for the festival online at Gulfportharborlights.com.
