HAPPENING TODAY: Public meeting to discuss effects from Bonnet Carre Spillway

While the Bonnet Carre Spillway is finally closed, our area will continue to suffer from lingering effects, such as the algae bloom that invaded our coastal waters.

You can find out more about this topic at a meeting set for Tuesday evening from 5:30 to 6:30 pm at the Ocean Springs Library. Local university teachers, scientists and researchers will be on hand for a question-and-answer session about water contact advisories, beach closures, harmful algal blooms, bacteria and red tide.

The public is invited to attend this 5:30 pm event Tuesday evening at the Ocean Springs Library to find out more about the different water issues that may affect our Coast.
