Hancock Whitney Splash Bash theme and artwork revealed

Today, the theme for the Hancock Whitney Splash Bash benefiting the Mississippi Aquarium was announced. September’s party is being hailed “The Year of the Croc.”

This year’s Splash Bash will spotlight the endangered American Crocodile. Bob and Bob were in attendance at the reveal today and will also be partygoers at the bash on September 27th at Barksdale Pavilion.

Also revealed today was the featured artwork for the bash by Gulf Coast artist Robert Waldrop, inspired by the crocodile.

COO of the Mississippi Aquarium Kurt Allen says they are in the final 10 percent of fundraising for the aquarium and the Splash Bash will play a large role in that.

Highlighting a vulnerable species makes it that much better. “We can highlight endangered species and have that as part of the artwork. So, we can really education everyone that comes to Splash Bash and our mission is education, conservation, and community. So, being able to highlight a species like the American Crocodile is something that we enjoy doing.”
