Habitat for Humanity Women Build

Habitat for Humanity of the Mississippi Gulf Coast is in day four of the Women Build campaign.

So much has already been done since the project started this past Tuesday. After holding a fundraiser to purchase materials for the home, the women all came together to start construction.

The program started a few years ago around Mother’s Day to help provide a home to women who are looking to improve their mind through home ownership. Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Specialist Angela Singletary said, “So we truly believe that something like home ownership provides an opportunity for stability, for self-reliance, and to be able to be a part of that there’s just no words to describe it.”
