Habitat for Humanity Receives Donation

One local bank decides to give back to the communities that help make the bank such a success.
In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the First National Banking Association donated $25,000 to Habitat for Humanity.
The Gulfport, Waveland, Hattiesburg, Mobile and Baldwin County chapters each received a $5,000 donation to help build homes and hope for families.
President and CEO of First Bank Ray Hoppy says the 20th anniversary was the perfect opportunity to demonstrate the bank’s continued efforts to help others and strengthen the community.
Adele Lyons with Habitat for Humanity said, “Associates from the First Bank are going to come out and volunteer with Habitat and help build a house next Friday. That’s really the ultimate giving, when you give your time and energy to the organization. We certainly appreciate both and we couldn’t do it without the support of corporate citizens.”
The First Bank is also giving away a free trip valued at $5,000 as a part of the anniversary celebration. Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana residents may register to win at any First Bank location.
