Guns In Church

In a challenge to federal law, state senators passed the Mississippi Church Protection Act which states that places of worship could nominate certain members of the church to undergo a firearms training course.

This bill would also allow individuals to carry guns in holsters without a concealed weapons permit.

The purpose of this bill is to allow various members to carry guns specifically to protect the congregation.

The bill now returns to the house for further discussion.
