Gulfport student selected as state board of education junior representative

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- The State Board of Education has selected Gulfport High’s Cannon Parker to serve as a junior representative for the upcoming school year.

These representatives are non-voting school board of education members who serve two years and provide input on policy decisions.

Parker holds a 4.25 grade point average, also giving back to the community through the Salvation Army, Kiwanis Pancake Day, and more
