Gulfport Police Made 47 Arrests Last Week

In an effort to crack down on the local criminal subculture, Gulfport police made 47 arrests last week. 
From May 18th to the 22nd, 18 search warrants were executed, all as a part of Chief Leonard Papania’s effort to crack down on the criminal subculture he began targeting in April. The enforcement operation was a joint effort between different law enforcement agencies. The 47 arrests were for misdemeanor offense or warrants.
Those arrested were taken to jail on bonds ranging from $10,000 to $500,000.
