Gulfport Police looking for two individuals after shooting leaves 1 dead, 1 injured Monday morning

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV) — One person is dead and another is injured after an early morning shooting on Monday.

Gulfport Police say they responded at about 12:44 a.m. to a report of a shooting at 3318 39th Avenue.

Detectives were able to determine there was an altercation that led to the shooting. Two individuals were shot and one of the individuals later succumbed to his injuries at a local area hospital.

Detectives are now attempting to locate Gitano Lewis and Aaron Mays. Detectives believe these two individuals may have information pertaining to the homicide.

Lewis is described as a 31 year old black female, 5’07”, 130 lbs., black hair and brown eyes. Mays is described as a black male, 5’06”, 130 lbs., black hair, and brown eyes.
