Gulfport man wanted for murder

A Gulfport man is wanted for murder.

Police are looking for 44-year-old Eli Martinez Medina. He is accused of assaulting and killing a man last night in Gulfport.

The victim, who has been identified as Frederick Plummer, was found in the wooded area west of 26th Avenue. This morning, Plummer’s father, Earl Bradley, returned to the scene of the crime in search of answers.

Bradley, joined by other family members, confused and upset, searched the wooded lot just wanting to know the last place their loved one was alive.

Now, as the search for the suspect continues, Bradley has a cry for help to get justice for his son. “I am very disappointed about what has happened to my son. I know there is somebody here in Gulfport that knows something about what happened. I would appreciate it if you would contact me or the Gulfport Police Department so we can get this person off the street before it is your son, your brother, or your father. Whoever seen, heard, knew anything about it, please do what is right.”

Medina should be considered armed and dangerous and anyone with information is urged to contact the Gulfport Police Department at 228-868-5959.
