Gulfport man sentenced to 13 years in drug trafficking case
A Gulfport man will serve more than 13 years for his role in a drug trafficking case in Gulfport.
Joshua Taylor, 23, was stopped in Gulfport in March of this year and officers found heroin, methamphetamine and Ecstasy. Officers also found, in the center console, a loaded Glock 19, a 9 millimeter handgun and 16 rounds of ammunition.
He was indicted in April on charges of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of a firearm to aid a drug trafficking crime. He pleaded guilty in August.
He was sentenced to 157 months in prison on those charges.
The DEA and Harrison County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case.
