Gulfport Kiwanis Club Hosts All You Can Eat Pancake Fundraiser
The Gulfport Kiwanis club hosted its 58th Annual Pancake Day at the First United Methodist Church. The event started at 7 a.m. and hundreds came out for $5 all you can eat pancakes, sausage, and beverages. All funds raised go toward Kiwanis charities.
Kathy Burns, Pancake Day Chairman, says, “It’s the major fundraiser for our Gulfport Kiwanis Club. The money that we raise is what we use to fund our programs for children, like Terrific Kids and Key Club. We help Casa and the Harrison County Children’s Shelter and just anywhere there’s a need for children. That’s what Kiwanis is all about.”
In addition to all you can eat pancakes, members of the church hosted a bake sale. Proceeds from that will go toward snack packs and bus passes for the needy.
