Gulfport High sending six players to the next level

Full house signing day ceremony for the Gulfport baseball and softball teams, each sending three players to the next level.

For baseball, Josh Lee is letting the ink dry with Southeastern Louisiana, alongside fellow seniors Jacob Palazzo and Dawson Hall, both heading to Mississippi Gulf Coast.

On the smaller diamond, former News 25 Student Athlete of the Week Brooklynn Montana putting pen to paper with Jones College and Anna Kate Rounsaville and Caroline Lindsey doing the same with Pearl River.

The six student athletes have truly grown up right alongside each other and all have similar aspirations at their respective future schools. Lee said, “It was just a family, like it just felt like home to me. It just felt like the right choice.”

Montana said, “I’m just excited to be able to put all my hard work into the next level and be able to go play the sport I love for two more years at least.”

Rounsaville said, “Definitely bittersweet but proud because you know that everything you’ve worked for is finally paying off and just excited for the future and what the future holds.”

The six signees say they’re ready for the next chapter of life, but are even more excited for the final seasons repping the orange and blue for the Admirals.
